Puma
for Bikers
Puma has broadened its Moto performance boot range with
the “Desmo”. To celebrate Puma’s new
partner Ducati, the shoe is named for the ground-breaking
Desmodromic engine system pioneered by Ducati in the 1950s.
The Desmo fills the gap between Puma’s popular
“1000” boot for performance racing and the
“Brutale” for road riding, combining great
protection with higher comfort. Aimed at the sport rider,
the Desmo has high abrasion-resistant microfibre uppers,
specially developed for the Desmo, as well as a water-resistant
zipper system and breathable fabric lining, a high-density
rubber outsole for stability, grip and abrasion-resistance
and lots of goodies such as internal nylon ankle bone
protection,

Added safety for Puma motorcycle boot
with Hytrel®
See Image above. The arrow points to the clamp.
‘1000’ is the name of the new
motorcycle boot developed by Puma for both the professional
racer and hobby biker. A core safety element of the boot’s
design is an adjustable clamp made of a stiff yet elastic
grade of Hytrel® thermoplastic polyester elastomer.
The material combines particularly elastic deformation
behavior with a high degree of protective support for
the ankle in the event of an accident.
